In addition to a illustrious film career, Pandu is known for having designed the AIADMK party symbol of two leaves and party flag. A Doctorate in Arts and Design from France, and a Post graduate from National Institute Of Design , Ahmedabad, he was also a visual artist who founded ‘ Capital Letters’ , a graphic designing company .
Actor Pandu was popular for his comedy and character roles in Tamil cinema. His first appearance in Tamil cinema was in 1970. His first notable role came in 1981with the film “Karaiyellam Shenbagapoo”. He has appeared in several films hence which gained him recognition. He has also appeared in several Television shows.
He was hospitalized for Covid 19, where he breathed his last on 6th May 2021.
